2019 CRAVE event results, congratulations to all!

Crave at Coffee By Design is a dream come true for coffee lovers. This annual event features coffee-infused craft foods and beverages. We host it in our roastery, at 1 Diamond St. Crave is part of Maine Restaurant Week and we are the presenting sponsor.

Guests at this year's sold out event tasted and voted for their favorites and selected The Black Tie Company’s vegan coffee date cake with Kenya Kericho County Boma Washing Station coffee, made by Pastry Chef Ashley Small and Executive Chef Avery Richter.

Professional judges Kathleen Pierce, HospitalityMaine, and Dan Zarin, Eat Drink Lucky, selected C. Love Cookie Project's Katherine J. Slevin’s dark chocolate sandwich cookie with peanut butter filling, dipped in a chocolate coffee ganache made with Midnight Jazz as the best, citing the cookie’s coffee flavor, how its different elements worked together, and that the coffee would have been missed if it hadn’t been included.

This was the fifth year for this event!
