In 2023, we met Shreedev and Susmitha while attending the World Coffee Conference in India. We subsequently toured their farm and fell in love with the coffee and their commitment to the land.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eShreedev and Susmitha are members of Kaad Kaapi, a collective of Indian coffee growers who share a commitment to protecting the forests, wildlife, and biodiversity of the Western Ghats. Their philosophy is simple but powerful: the forest comes first, and coffee farming should help sustain it. Coffee cherries are carefully sorted and rested overnight before being pulped and fermented for approximately 24 hours in barrels. The coffee is then mechanically washed and dried.
