Midnimo: Unity: Celebrating Somali Food, Music, and Culture

We're excited to welcome author Ifrah F. Ahmed to Portland the weekend of October 2 and 3. 

As part of “Midnimo: Unity: Celebrating Somali Food, Music, and Culture”there will be a Community Meet and Greet Potluck, Oct. 2, 1-3 p.m., Portland Community Squash, 66 Noyes St., Portland. Free to the public; bringing a dish to share is recommended. Ifrah will meet with community members and leaders at this informal gathering.

An Evening with Ifrah F. Ahmed, Oct. 2, 6-8 p.m., at our roastery, 1 Diamond St., Portland. Free and open to the public. Ifrah will discuss her book “Soomaaliya” and take part in a Q&A. 

Community Meet and Greet Potluck, Oct. 3, 12:30-2:30 p.m., Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (MILL), 1 Beech St., Lewiston. Free and open to the public. Ifrah will meet with leaders and members of the Lewiston community at a gathering; free and open to the public.
