This fruit forward coffee comes from the Biru Bekele Washing Station, located in the Oromia region. Biru started growing coffee in 2005 and built their first washing station in 2018. Selecting only ripe red cherries, grown at elevations between 1800-2100 m, for this unique yeast process. The yeast mixture used is poured into each batch to be fermented for 96 hours, after which the coffee is transferred to raised beds for 21 days, where they monitor moisture to ensure a clean and fruit forward cup.
