India Kerehaklu Sequential Washed
A remarkable coffee shaped by nature, science, and generations of experience. Tucked into the lush Western Ghats of southern India, Kerehaklu Estate is a 250-acre haven of biodiversity, where coffee grows alongside peppercorns, avocados, citrus, and an extraordinary variety of native plants.
Fourth-generation coffee producer Ajoy and his son Pranoy bring together traditional farming knowledge, scientific curiosity, and a deep commitment to protecting the land they call home.
Their Sequential Washed process is a thoughtful approach to fermentation. Coffee cherries are carefully sorted and rested overnight before being pulped and fermented for approximately 24 hours in barrels. The coffee is then mechanically washed and dried. Each step helps Pranoy explore and refine the coffee’s distinctive flavor.
The result is a coffee that reflects both the richness of its environment and the innovation of the people who grow it.
